Kobashi 有機醒目薰衣草精油 Lavadin Gross Essential Oil
KOBASHI LAVADIN OIL 100% Pure Grosso organically grown on small, traditional family farm in Drôme Provençale at the foothills of the French Alps.
LATIN NAME: Lavandula hybrida grosso. (Botanist: Reverchon)
SOURCE Steam distilled, from flowering tips and stem
COLOUR: Clear, yellow
ORIGIN: Brette, France
AROMA: Sweet floral, slightly camphorous
QUALITIES: Lavandin Grosso was developed and introduced in the 1970s by French farmer Pierre Grosso. It is now one of the most widely cultivated of the lavenders.
A cross between true Lavender: lavandula angustifolia: (Botanist: Chaix) and Spike Lavender: lavandula latifolia (Botanist: Vill.) combines characteristics of both. A higher cineole and camphor content make it slightly sharper than true lavender alone, but may give it better respiratory uses. Can be used as an antiseptic. Popular oil for potpourri and soap making. Add a few drops to an Aroma stream, Hot Bowl, Aroma Disc or Stone.
A member of the Lamiaceae family it is an evergreen woody shrub, growing up to one metre. It has narrow gray green leaves and purple, blue flowers on long woody stems. The whole plant is aromatic. Native to the Medeteranian, cultivated worldwide. It favours dry lime soil, but can be grown in most well drained soils.
