More about the ingredients

Western incense and perfumes use the Atlas cedar (Cedrus atlantica). Indian and Tibetan incense uses the Himalayan cedar (Cedrus deodara) and various junipers.

Effects / Why?

Restful: Aromachology studies measure fatigue through pupil blinking. Exposure to cedar's aromatic molecules promotes a faster and deeper return to rest. It is anti-stress and balances the central nervous system. Like many woody scents, it promotes focus and concentration.

Phytoncide Effect: Certain plants, including conifers, emit aromatic molecules designed to defend them against parasites (bacteria, fungi, insects). The terpenes emitted by cedars have many virtues, as do incense, which contains them in sufficient quality and quantity: emission of negative ions promoting air quality.
