含y－次亞麻油酸，是月見草油含量高近2倍，但亞油酸則較少，可內服外用。內服有促進血循環，強化免疫系統，調節女性荷爾蒙作用。外用可軟化皮膚、洽化細胞、保濕及預防老化，調理乾性及過敏性皮膚炎問題。

Borage Seed Oil Organic, Borago officinalis, also known as Starflower oil,

Pressed from the beautiful blue flowers, Borage oil has the highest gamma-linolenic acid content of any oil. This helps to regenerate the skin’s natural barrier function and prevent moisture loss. Borage oil has a firming effect which acts against wrinkles, dryness and other signs of aging. It is an excellent oil for facial skin care, especially for mature skin.

High levels of phytochemicals and other nutrients give an anti-inflammatory effect which is beneficial for the joints and connective tissues. Borage oil also has antioxidant properties provided by ferulic acid. Borage is an astringent oil that feels dry on the skin and has a tightening, toning effect.
