Directions for use

Place the incense some distance from the bed in a suitable incense holder on a surface that won't catch fire. Do a calming activity (reading, etc.). The aromatic molecules will gradually take effect.

Indian sandalwood (Santalum album) is most renowned for its fragrance, especially that of Mysore. The powdered wood and steam-extracted essential oil are used in this recipe. Santalum spicatum sandalwood is a resource with aromas very similar to the traditionally used Indian sandalwood. 

Effects / Why? 

Relaxing, comforting, warm, and sensual. Sandalwood soothes the body and mind. Its effects have been the subject of numerous studies that have confirmed this centuries-old reputation (alpha brain waves measured by encephalogram: they indicate a state of deep relaxation). This incense is therefore particularly indicated for promoting sleep and falling asleep.

History of this incense

These incense sticks are made in southern India by a company that revived traditional manufacturing about twenty years ago and operates within a fair trade framework. Each stick is hand-rolled.

- Mineral origin: rocks and pigments extracted by mechanical means or by the action of heat.

- Animal origin: only products obtained without cruelty (honey).

- An ecological production cycle: compliance with international agreements (Washington, Cites), sites and production methods ensuring the minimum possible pollution and a process of progress.

- Compliance with health and consumer protection regulations: CLP labeling, allergens. Constant research to reduce VOC emissions and fine particles.

ICEA checks, through periodic inspections and analyses, the natural origin of the ingredients and the absence of synthetic molecules in the finished products.

Samples of each marketed product bearing these logos are taken each year by this organization and are analyzed in the laboratory by chromatography.

If synthetic products are identified even in very small proportions (pollution of ingredients or the production chain), the product is rejected.
