這款檀香精油雖然產地是澳洲，但品種為東印度檀香樹的原生品種，請勿與阿米香樹(Amyris balsamifera，又稱西印度檀香）和澳洲檀香(Santalum spicatum）混淆。
由於印度的香 檀香樹已成為印度非法採伐的目標，印度政府禁止出口。 為堅持保育植物的原則，因此Alambika 採用澳洲產的東印度白檀香樹原木，其功效與印度產的白檀香一樣，同樣有越陳越香的特質。

About the plant
Sandalwood is native to India, Nepal, Australia and New Caledonia. The wood has to grow for 15 years to produce oil. Real sandalwood is a rare treasure. As it is an endangered plant species, trade in its products is subject to legal regulations and strict controls by the government of India. Sandalwood is used in many Buddhist and Hindu rituals and is said to strengthen meditation and create a distance from the ego.
