Kobashi 歐洲赤松精油 Scot Pine Essential Oil


LATIN NAME: Pinus sylvestris; Scots Pine (Scotch in some older books such as Guenther's)
SOURCE: Steam distilled from the needles.
COLOUR: Clear to pale yellow.
ORIGIN: Austria.
AROMA: Fresh, green, terpintine, true to the crushed needles.

QUALITIES: Clearing and deodorising. An excellent air-freshener and antiseptic. Useful as an inhalation to relieve bronchial tracts and blocked sinuses. Dried pine was used by the American Indians to stuff mattresses to repel fleas and lice. A good choice for adding to a morning bath especially if you will be travelling on public transport or if you will be amongst crowds, as pine will help to protect on a psychic as well as physical level. Extensively used in veterinary preparations. Not to be mistaken with less expensive fir oil. Organically grown: no pesticides or herbicides used.

Blends well with Cedarwood, Rosemary, Lavender, Sage, Marjoram, Juniper, Lemon, Eucalyptus and Tea tree.

A member of the Pinaceae family, a tall evergreen tree up to forty metres high. It has green/blue needles, which are long and grow in pairs, the bark is a reddish brown with deep fissures. The cones are green turning to brown. Native to Eurasia.
